In collaboration with Paper Planes, the renowned streetwear brand co-founded by Jay Z and Emory Jones, Marcela took the helm in designing their highly anticipated Valentine's Day 2024 Capsule Collection. Drawing inspiration from the evocative works of Californian artist Aloki, Marcela crafted a range of garments, including short sleeve and long sleeve t-shirts, as well as a hoodie. Marcela's involvement extended beyond mere design; she meticulously curated the aesthetic direction for each piece, ensuring that Aloki's distinctive style was faithfully represented in wearable form. From initial concept to final execution, Marcela led the creative process, leaving an indelible mark on every aspect of the collection. Moreover, Marcela assumed responsibility for the technical intricacies of the project, meticulously crafting comprehensive tech packs for the factories. These encompassed not only the standard specifications for plastisol prints on the tees but also intricate details for the hoodie, incorporating various techniques, drawcord variations, and unique cuts.
